Headphonez is a native iOS and iPadOS music player that acts as a third-party client for your own self-hosted Navidrome or Subsonic (OpenSubsonic) server.

You must supply your own server. Headphonez ships with no music of its own. To use the app you need access to your own Navidrome or Subsonic (OpenSubsonic) server. Without a server to connect to, the app has nothing to play.

Getting started

  1. Install Headphonez from the App Store.
  2. Enter the URL of your Navidrome / Subsonic server.
  3. Sign in with your server account username and password.
  4. Pick a profile and start listening to your library.

What is Navidrome?

Navidrome is a self-hosted music server that you run yourself. It streams your personal music library over the Subsonic / OpenSubsonic API. Headphonez is not affiliated with the Navidrome or Subsonic projects.

Why do I need my own server?

Headphonez is only a player. It contains no music and no catalog of its own. It connects to a Navidrome or Subsonic server that you provide and streams the music stored there.

Is my data private?

Yes. Headphonez collects no personal data. The only information stored is the server address and login you enter, kept in the iOS Keychain on your device and sent only to the server you configure. See the Privacy Policy for details.
